11.23.09Zachary’s My Gym Party

by Kim

Saturday Zachary celebrated with 18 of his friends and lots of Jake’s family at My Gym in Aurora.  The kids got to sing and dance, ride on a zip-line, run around, jump on trampolines, play in the balls and just act crazy.  Zachary was sure made the center of attention that day.  The events started off by everyone wishing Zach a “Happy Birthday”, then right before it was time to eat cake, Zach got to ride in a sled around all the kids as a special song played.  This was a great place to have a party for kids.  There was never any downtime!

11.23.09Zachary’s 1st Birthday

by Kim

Thursday was a very busy day for Zachary.  During the day he spent over at his babysitter, Sharon’ s house.  He had a little party over there with his friends.  After I picked him up, he got to open the gifts that Jake and I got him.  Then we headed to Jake’s parents for dinner and cupcakes.  He is one loved little boy!!!!!

11.19.0912 Months Old!!!

by Kim

How can it be that our little Zachary is one year old today?  We can not believe that an entire year has gone by!  Zach has accomplished some big milestones in the past month.  He started to walk on October 27th and has not stopped since!  It is so cute to watch him try and balance himself as he walks across our family room floor.  He is getting pretty good walking in shoes too!  Zach has also successfully moved on from formula to cow’s milk.  We lucked out not having to buy one can of formula thanks to the free samples we received!!! :)   Yesterday we had Zachary’s one year old doctor appointment and he now weighs 20.4 lbs and is 28 1/2 inches long.  We can definitely tell he has been growing.  Zach also loves when I sing “If You’re Happy and You Know It” and “Where is Zachary.”  He claps along as soon as he hears If…. and he likes to cover his eyes when I sing the other song.

Our lives sure did change for the better one year ago!  I must admit I cried twice this morning as people called to sing “Happy Birthday.”  I am going to miss the days of cuddling with my little baby, but I know that there are so many fun times ahead!  We are so thankful to have such a loving and happy little boy!!!

We Love You, Zachary!!!

11.10.09Zachary’s 1st Haircut

by Kim

The front of Zach’s hair was getting pretty long, so we decided we to cut his hair.  I really wanted to take him to a cute kids place, but Jake said he could cut Zach’s hair himself.  I must say Jake did a fantastic job!!!!

11.2.09Zachary’s 1st Halloween

by Kim

The Halloween festivities started on Thursday with a costume party at the babysitters.  All the kids looked so cute in their costumes.  I am not sure how Sharon managed to get 7 kids dressed and have them sit still long enough for a picture.
