Tonight we feed Zach his oatmeal by spoon.  To my surprise, he did really good.  Not too much of a mess either!

Zach got impatient and grabbed the spoon from me to feed himself

Zachary had his 4 month check-up on Monday night.  He now weighs 12lbs 6oz and is 23 1/4 inches long!  We call him our Small Fry :)  Zach is in the 10th percentile for his height and weight, but the doctor is not concerned since he continues to gain weight each month.  He got two more shots and did not scream nearly as loud as the first round.  I still got teary eyed….not sure if that will ever change.  The doctor gave us the okay to feed his cereal, but he has been eating oatmeal for almost a month now.  We do have to start feeding it to him by spoon instead of in his bottle.  Everything else checked out great!  We can not believe how fast the time is going by.  Zach is very alert now, loves to play with his toys, puts everything in his mouth and talks and coos to us.  It is like he enjoys telling us about his day when we pick him up.  He makes Jake and I laugh all the time.

I make this noise that sounds like a dying cat and it always makes Zach scared where he sticks out his bottom lip.

Zach started at his babysitter, Sharon’s, on March 3rd.  So far he seems so happy when he is there.  The other kids just love him.  There are two little girls and a 9 month old little boy.  I know that Zach loves all the interaction with the kids and he always has a big smile for Sharon in the morning.

I sure hope Zach grows up to love Mickey Mouse and the Disney crew!!!!
