Jake and I came down with the flu Friday night and Aunt Brianne came to the rescue! She came up on Saturday morning and took Zach out shopping and then back to her house. I am not sure how Jake and I would have managed if Brianne was not available. I felt terrible already that all Zach got for breakfast on Saturday was dry Cheerios because I just did not have any energy to make him anything. It seems that Zachary had another fun-filled weekend with his Aunt B, Uncle Travis and cousin Nick!!!!

Looks like Zach woke up and was ready to exercise!

Will Zach be the next Mozart????

On March 1st, I decided I would get out Zach’s potty chair and just see how he does with it. To my surprise the first two days were a success!!!! After that, it went downhill. I will keep working with him. I was just happy that he was not afraid of the potty. I do not think he will be fully potty-trained by time the new baby arrives, but would be nice to cut down on the diapers we use per day with Zach

Jake surprised me the last weekend of February by arranging my sister to watch Zach while the two of us got massages, a facial and enjoyed a wonderful dinner together. Zachary seemed to have so much fun at his Aunt B’s house being able to run in circles, climb behind the couch, look out many windows and climb up the staircase. Brianne even put him to work on Sunday cleaning! :) He seems to be quite the little helper.

Now that Zach is on the move, we do not get to spend too much time just cuddling anymore. This rare moment happened after a fun-filled day at his babysitter Sharon’s house. Zach was wiped out and just wanted to sit on mommy’s lap and relax. I loved every minute of it!!!!

I discovered I had not taken too many pictures of Zachary in February, so one night I went a little crazy following him around the house playing. I think he was sick of seeing the camera by the end

Zachary still fits in his rubber duck for the bath and just loves to splash and get water everywhere! Usually Jake and I need to cover ourselves with a towel so we do not get soaked. I think he would play in the water for a few hours if we let him.

3 Months from today Baby V should be arriving via c-section! I can not believe it!!!! I know we found out super late, but the time is flying by! Everything is going really well. I am 26 1/2 weeks along and feeling great. I do get tired by the end of the day and there are days my back and feet hurt, but for the most part I have plenty of energy to get thru the day. I find reading a book very relaxing at night and I am also catching up on all my pictures and scrapbooking. I am still working out 3-4 times a week and try to break up errands thru out the week. I had my glucose test and I am gestational diabetes free :) Jake and I have started to make a list of boy and girl names, but have not decided on anything yet. One day the name will come to us just like it did for Zachary.

Yesterday Zachary and I met our friends Nicki and Taylor at All Aboard Diner for lunch. What a fun place to take kids!!!! Zach and Taylor had a ball watching the train go by delivering food to everyone. We can not wait to go back to the train place again for lunch!!!!

I loved that the little train was from El Paso!!!!

Happy 15 months, Zachary!!!! Zach had his 15 month doctor’s appointment on Wednesday and he now weighs 22 lbs 10 oz and is 30 inches tall! We can really tell that he has grown since his first birthday. This past month has been quite fun watching Zach grow and discover new things. For one, you can rarely find him walking anymore….he loves to run! Whether it be from the kitchen to the patio door or the tv to the couch, he is running. He loves to play with blocks and has learned he can stack three or four of them on top of each other. His favorite is still to knock the tower over that Jake and I build for him :) Sometime we can find him sitting in the middle of the room just “reading” his books. He really enjoys ones with bright pictures and we have a few that make noise that he really likes. He is also becoming really good at throwing balls. Thank goodness the ones he practices with are little plastic ones that will not break anything. Zach also likes to play behind the couch even though we block both entrances, he still finds a way to get back there.
Zachary has gotten four new teeth in the past month…his top two molars and his top two cuspid teeth. 14 total now!!! Finally we are back to sleeping thru the night!!!! This round of teeth was rough on Zach, mom and dad!
Zach has also become our little shredding helper. Jake had lots of paper to shred after his work trip, so he let Zach help. Zach figured out how the paper went in there and stood patiently until we gave him another piece. Now whenever we have a few things that need shred, we find Zach to help us.
We look forward to this next month watching our little boy grow and learn! He brings so much joy to our lives!!!!!

“Today my daddy and I watched part of the Daytona 500 which marks the start of Nascar season. My daddy really wanted Boyer, Biffle or Hornish Jr to win the race and my Grandpa D was rooting for Carl Edwards. Even though the race lasted for over 6 hours, two of my daddy’s drivers placed in the top 5!!!!”
